Job Summary:
The Group Copy Supervisor is a working leader who creates content that inspires professional and consumer audiences to engage with healthcare brands across all channels. We are looking for an individual who has a passion for crafting effective copy that engages a broad spectrum of audiences. The role requires exceptional skill in conceptualizing communication that has the power to impress target audiences with vital, actionable information.

This role requires a strong promotional copywriter for a mid-sized, growing diagnostics company who would collaborate closely with Account, Strategy & Insights, and client partners to develop promotional copy that supports the brands strategic objectives. Some strategic content support will be necessary to help clients define the approach with health system customers. This individual must maintain an understanding of the objectives, insights driving them and the critical success factors to develop promotional copy and messages that drives action with health system customers.

Duties / Responsibilities

  • Capture and interpret input from clients and from internal, cross-functional teams
  • Collaborate with strategists to:
  • Generate creative briefs
  • Mine insights from briefs, market research, and analytics
  • Research market, product, indication, and disease state
  • Generate strategic and tactical content strategy
  • Originate fresh, innovative concepts, campaigns, and tactics that address clients’ business problems; participate in brainstorming and creative workgroups to conceptualize new work
  • Transform conceptual ideas into purposeful, effective, engaging copy content across multiple platforms: write engaging, persuasive copy, based on recommended keyword strategy, that drives people to act
  • Be a strong advocate for consistent brand messaging
  • Employ disciplines to create websites, emails, social media, digital sales aids, display ad campaigns, and videos
  • Collaborate with the UX & design team to craft high impact user experiences

Expectations:

  • Presentations and support for communication with complex health systems
  • Level-appropriate engagement with C and D-suite executives
  • Skilled application of content strategy and communication planning
  • Creating new, high-traction communication for products and services that are in various stages of development - from pre-launch, through launch, and continuing support
  • Working knowledge of the delivery of oncology services across both large populations and in smaller practices is a plus

Skills / Qualifications:

  • Experience with and understanding of the following preferred: digital strategy, customer experience, creative development, website and digital asset design, analytics, SEO, PPC, omni-channel marketing, and performance reporting, population health management, evolution of value-based care, shifting care dynamics, health information technology (including use of electronic health records), other technology advancements impacting patient care and communication
  • Proven track record of delivering large-scale projects
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Experience in interpreting and delivering analytics reports

Education / Experience:

  • BA degree in an industry-related subject (e.g., biology, neuroscience, chemistry, psychology, copywriting, journalism)
  • At least 8 years of experience in writing for pharmaceutical, biotech, and medical device marketers
  • 3-5 years of experience in a digital agency environment
  • Excellent at presenting your work with authority to internal and external audiences
  • Familiarity with the interdependencies between copywriting, editorial, CX, design, IA, UX, UI, SEO, and development from concept through delivery
  • Strong knowledge and experience of MLR requirements and processes
  • Strong knowledge of AMA guidelines
