Job Summary

Ensure that the community property grounds are clean. We have PT and FT positions.

Responsibilities and Duties

• Remove litter and debris daily from all areas of the property (areas include: pool area, laundry rooms, dumpster area, recreation areas, general grounds, and walkways to, from and in between buildings).
• Trash out vacated apartments (remove abandoned furniture, trash, boxes, etc.)
• Assist with various physical tasks as directed (.e. tearing down fences, digging trenches, etc.)
• Assist with make-readies.
• Assist in the cleaning and maintenance of storage rooms.
• Distribute resident communications as directed.
• Maintain awareness of utility meter cut-offs, sewer clean-outs, and safety precautions.
• Repair and adjust sprinklers.
• Other tasks as assigned by manager.
• Additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications and Skills

• Works on assignments that are routine in nature where limited judgment is required.
• Normally receives detailed instructions on all work.
• 0-1 years of practical experience with demonstration of required skills as a groundskeeper.
• Must speak and read English to understand directions.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS
While performing the duties of this job, the following functions are required:
CONSTANTLY: standing/walking, bending/stooping/squatting, pushing/pulling, grasping/gripping, lifting up to 25 pounds, finger dexterity.
FREQUENTLY: climbing stairs, reaching above the shoulder, lifting 11-25 pounds.
OCCASIONALLY: hand/eye/foot coordination, lifting over 25 pounds.
Working Conditions: An occupational exposure to blood or other potentially infectious materials can be expected. May be asked to clean up bodily fluids with appropriate training and personal protective equipment provided.

Benefits and Perks

• Compensation: $14.00 to16.00 per hour depending on location. $500 Sign-On Bonus (half payable on first paycheck; second half payable after 90 days of employment), Partial holiday pay after a year of employment and 401k.
