Job description

Our Lady of Mercy Cemetery in Doral, Florida is looking for a Grounds Technician responsible for the Mausoleums. The Grounds Technician will perform all mausoleum duties from entombment to building maintenance.

Experience required:

• High school diploma or GED
• Must be able to read, write, and understand the English language

Essential Functions:

• Responsibilities for Mausoleum landscaping maintenance include:
• Weeding
• Edging
• Mulch installation
• Plant Installation
• Maintaining Mausoleum buildings, cleaning floors, and windows.
• Assists with Mausoleum entombments and disentombments.
• Assures all Mausoleum equipment is maintained and operating properly,
• Provide assistance to the memorial department by removing all crypt fronts.
• Removing flowers
• Performing general janitorial duties

• Must be able to lift and move up to 50 pounds and push/pull up to 250+ pounds, walk, climb stairs or ladders, stand on feet for extended periods, etc.

Supervisory Functions:

• Provides orientation to new employees as needed.
• May serve as an interim department leader depending on need.

Other Duties:

• Must maintain your required license, certifications, and mandatory skills up to date.
• Comply with all policies, local, state, and federal laws and regulations.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
