Grounds Crew – Part-Time/Seasonal - $15/hr

Many of our tournaments incorporate a great amount of fun for the players with events like the Hawaiian Hitfest, Cowtown Showdown, and the Monster Bash with great activities. Our goals are also achieved by providing an organized event that is well run, with quality people operating it, and a level of fair and balanced competition.

To do this, we need a grounds crew that is highly motivated, adapts well to change, but truly believes in the over-riding philosophy that we are doing this for the kids.

Position Summary:
Our Fields Maintenance and Grounds Crew team will assist in all aspects of preparing the fields for tournaments. This includes, but is not limited to dragging/chalking fields, changing mounds, placing “turface” on fields, pumping water off fields, and setting up/tearing down at events.

Essential Job Functions/Responsibilities:

• Chalking lines on fields
• Blowing/removing standing water off fields
• Maintenance of batter boxes in between games
• Mound changes
• Putting down “turface”
• Assist with park cleanliness including trash and bathroom clean up

Qualifications/Requirements:

• Must be able to lift at least 50 pounds
• Must have reliable transportation
• Friendly, outgoing and personable
• Reliable and punctual: arrive at the ballpark no later than two hours prior to the first game scheduled start time
• Self-motivated
• Excellent verbal/communication
• Attention to detail
• Ability to work weekends/flexibility with changing schedules (weather dependent)
• Act respectful and professionally
• Ability to withstand the outdoor elements from spring, summer and fall; including rain or extreme heat
• Must complete a successful background check
