We are looking for someone to
  • Takes a leadership role with high profile design assignments and assists Supervisor of Graphic Design in overseeing implementation of new design layouts
  • Works closely with Supervisor of Graphic Design to ensure design team is following best design practices and WoodmenLife brand/design standards
  • With direction from Manager, the Senior Designer will help mentor Graphic Designer position with production best practices, as well as provide guidance with design and art direction
  • Concepts, researches and provides graphic and page layout solutions for various Sales, Fraternal, Human Resources, Advertising, Sales Training and Marketing Communication projects
  • Creates superior, original design with a strong design style and conceptual skills, including creative design solutions within the constraints of company corporate look
  • Assists with corporate branding compliance checks and vendor artwork approvals.
  • Responsible for processing of home office employee head shots.
We need someone who has:
  • Minimumof 6 years working experience in a corporate design department, advertising agency or design agency
  • Bachelor’s degree in graphic design, communications or equivalent preferred
  • Excellent knowledge of production, design, typography, photography, color theory, photo retouching, publication design/layout, and file management
  • Advanced expertise in typography, photography production knowledge, graphic software – Adobe InDesign, Adobe Photo Shop, Adobe Illustrator, Adobe Acrobat Professional, knowledge of Adobe Animate, HTML and HTML 5, all on a Mac operating system
  • Understands branding and the importance of brand standards with the ability to apply established standards to all deliverables
  • Proven ability to meet strict deadlines 100% of the time, without fail
  • Ability to be self-motivated and able to follow-through on assignments with minimal daily management oversight
  • Ability to adapt to changing priorities quickly in a very dynamic and demanding agile work environment
  • Ability to effectively manage multiple projects of varying complexities, works well under pressure and is a self-motivated team player with an attention to detail
  • Strong interpersonal skills; can effectively express and present ideas to both creatives and non-creatives, listen well, and work in an agile team environment
  • Ability to interface and work with all levels of personnel in an agile team environment
