The Astria Health system, headquartered in the heart of the state of Washington’s wine country in the beautiful Yakima Valley, is the largest non-profit healthcare system based in Eastern Washington. - Experience: 3-5 years graphic design, marketing, and/or print shop.
- Education: Associates Degree/Technical Certificate required in graphic design, communications, digital design, or similar. Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
- Knowledge/Skills/Abilities: The candidate will be highly skilled at computer-based graphic design for internal and external communications and with experience with programs including Adobe InDesign, Photoshop, and Illustrator software. Skilled in document design and creation, copy fitting, and integrated marketing as a discipline. This person also will be able to translate complex clinical and technical content into everyday language and design with clear differentiation on how value propositions will retain the hospital’s quality and brand standards. The candidate will possess excellent written and oral communications skills, the ability to adapt to multiple and changing priorities, as well as effective interpersonal skills. Knowledge of brand management and the ability to manage digital assets and social media outlets is helpful. Bilingual/biliterate (English / Spanish) preferred, but not required.
The Graphic Designer creates and implements portions of complex strategic integrated marketing and communications documents plans such as marketing communication projects with responsibilities that include internal communications, digital and social strategies, support for events, advertising, and creating a positive brand experience and awareness. Builds and coordinates creative content to optimize digital and other communications and marketing tools. Uses his/her skill to prepare materials such as brochures, fliers, data, slides, photographs, proposals, presentations, reports, and internal and external newsletters. Assist with and prepare marketing plans as requested and status reports on marketing efforts and results. Assists in planning, executing and managing all phases of marketing activities for external and internal audiences providing support for Director of Community Relations for the Astria Health hospitals and other associated entities.
WORKING CONDITIONS & PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Work is primarily performed in an office setting and is considered sedentary work. Sedentary work involves sitting most of the time. Walking and standing are required only occasionally. Requires exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally and/or negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects. Requires normal/corrected vision and hearing to normal range. Requires good manual and finger dexterity to operate computers, phones, and handle documents. The worker is not substantially exposed to adverse environmental conditions.
