Grants Coordinator II: Provide institutional oversight for submission of external funding proposals, verifying compliance with University, State, Federal, and Sponsor guidelines and regulations. Provide specialized guidance to faculty and staff in gaining knowledge of, acquiring, and finalizing external proposals. Provide oversight and training for department-level professional and support staff assigned to grant activities. Work with faculty and staff from multiple disciplines to coordinate proposal submissions and budget development. Support post proposal submission and non-financial post-award transactions such as sponsor requests and Just-In-Time documentation.

Provide specialized guidance to faculty and staff in gaining knowledge of, acquiring, and finalizing external proposals. Provide oversight, training and/or mentoring for other OSP staff. Also provide oversight and training for department-level professional and support staff assigned to grant activities. Work with faculty and staff from multiple disciplines to coordinate proposal submissions and budget development. Support post proposal submission and non-financial post-award transactions such as sponsor requests and Just-In-Time documentation.

Minimum Required Qualifications
Grants Coordinator II: Bachelor’s degree plus 2 years of grant proposal review and submission experience; equivalent education/experience considered. Ability to balance and complete multiple priority tasks simultaneously. Ability to build trust and effective working relationships with clients – both internal and external. Experience must demonstrate excellent organizational, communication, interpersonal, and client service skills. Computer skills including keyboarding, MS Word, Excel, and browsers. Experience must demonstrate problem solving and critical thinking skills.

Grants Coordinator III: Bachelor’s degree plus 3 years of pre-award research administration experience at a university, state, or other public institution; equivalent education/experience considered. Knowledge of UG and experience with Grants.gov, Research.gov/FastLane, eRA Commons or other sponsor electronic proposal submission systems. Ability to balance and complete multiple priority tasks simultaneously. Ability to build trust and effective working relationships with clients – both internal and external. Experience must demonstrate excellent organizational, communication, interpersonal, and client service skills. Computer skills including keyboarding, MS Word, Excel, and browsers. Experience must demonstrate problem solving and critical thinking skills.
Preferred Qualifications
Grants Coordinator II: Grant proposal review and submission experience within a university setting. Knowledge of, and some experience with, NUgrant, UG, Grants.gov, Research.gov/FastLane, eRA Commons. CRA and/or CPRA.

Grants Coordinator III: Master’s degree. Experience in pre-award research administration tasks at UNL and in NUgrant. Extensive experience with UG, Grants.gov, Research.gov/FastLane, and eRA Commons. CRA and/or CPRA.

Posted Salary Starting rate: GCII:$24.106; GCIII:$27.251
