ChristianaCare is looking for a Grant Program Administrator to coordinate the management of multiple related projects and ongoing process improvement opportunities directed toward scientific and administrative goals. Oversee the projects in the program including the review, analysis, drafting, and negotiation of research grants and contracts. Accountable to deliver the specific outcomes defined by the grant program.
PLEASE NOTE: Currently, this position works out of the Newark location, but will eventually be moving to our Avenue North location in North Wilmington. This is a hybrid position and the schedule will be discussed during the interview process.

Responsibilities:
Oversees the submission of grants applications, according to institutional and external funding agency requirements. Oversees the research process with respect to pre-award of grants.
Manages grants preparation. Coordinates research grants, sub-contracts and other contract related activities with other departments in the division and institution. Communicates and negotiates, at all levels, regarding decisions around the grant submission process.
Mentors and develops others in the grant program process.
Develops and implements standard operating procedures for the OSP addressing federal and private grant submission processes.
Directs the implementation/coordination of systems, policies and procedures affecting the submission, review, approval, contract negotiation, tracking and reporting of and submission of grant applications and annual reports, according to institutional and external funding agency requirements.
Manages the review, analysis, drafting, and negotiation of research contracts. Negotiates grant and research contract changes and/or amendments with sponsors.
Resolves contractual issues between the sponsor/supporter and the principal investigator and/or the institution with minimal oversight from attorneys.
Qualifications:
Master's degree in Business Management, Health Administration, Accounting or related field.
Five years in grant and contract management in hospital or university setting. Five years' experience directly related to biomedical research.
An equivalent combination of education and experience may be substituted.
