The Washington, DC office of McGuireWoods seeks a junior to mid-level associate for the Government Contracts Practice Group.
Our Government Contracts Practice Group represents a wide range of defense companies and other federal contractors and subcontractors across the full spectrum of government contracting. The capabilities of our full-service Government Contracts Practice include all types of government investigations and enforcement matters, including False Claims Act investigations; bid protests; government contract claims; cybersecurity counseling; Defense Contract Audit Agency (DCAA) and other audit assistance; procurement and compliance counseling; and export control counseling and enforcement. We provide these services to clients ranging from the largest top defense contractors to small businesses and startup technology firms across the defense and national security, intelligence, aerospace, service, technology, construction, and energy, among other, sectors.

Job Requirements:
- Qualified candidates will have 1 - 5 years of general litigation and/or investigations/enforcement experience.
- Experience with government contracts counseling as well as litigation experience, including both claims and bid protests, as well as familiarity with the Federal Acquisition Regulation (including agency supplements), Uniform Administrative Requirements, Cost Principles, and Audit Requirements for Federal Awards.
- Candidate may work on the full range of government contracting matters, including procurement and compliance counseling, bid protests, and government contract litigation (claims and prime-sub) investigations, and government disclosure, as well as broader investigations and enforcement matters.
- Experience with the FAR, export control issues, and false claims act matters are preferred, but not required.
- Strong academic credentials and writing skills required.
- Large firm experience is a plus, but not required.
- DC bar required.
