Established in 1925, The Sparrows Point Country Club of Baltimore, MD is a privately owned club that overlooks the waterfront, featuring a yacht basin, an 18-hole championship golf course, and a full-service clubhouse that provides service from casual to formal dining. SPCC is one of the finest Club facilities of its kind in the state. The golf course ranks among the most challenging in Maryland. It's parkland style course is laid out over 272 acres, with rolling hills and tree-lined fairways along scenic Bear Creek. Up to Par Management recently began managing SPCC for the Craftsman Development Corporation who will be investing in the golf course with a new irrigation system, a new maintenance facility, and the reconstruction and redesign of several holes as well as a new practice facility.

We are looking for an energetic, self-motivated and committed Golf Course Mechanic to work at Sparrows Point that is looking to build a career with our quickly growing Professional Hospitality Management Firm. Compensation: Salary Range of $50,000 - $60,000 based on experience

Role:

The equipment mechanic reports to the golf course superintendent and/or the assistant golf course superintendent and oversees a comprehensive preventive maintenance program.

This program includes:

• repairing failing equipment,
• keeping records of parts and labor needed to maintain each piece of equipment
• placing orders for parts and supplies needed for equipment or service
• properly communicating any needs or problems relating to the maintenance or repair of equipment to the superintendent and/or the assistant superintendent
• scheduling and directing the work assignments of the assistant equipment mechanic.

The equipment mechanic places safety as a top priority and is responsible for maintaining a clean service area and maintenance building.
