The Global Wellness team oversees the enterprise wellness functions within the Hilton organization and, in addition to its core charter, has been tasked with developing a "next generation" wellness point-of-view, as well as the strategy and team charter to support its delivery.
What will I be doing?
This role will provide day-to-day support in delivering on the Global Wellness team's strategic priorities. Reporting directly to the vice president of wellness, this role will play a critical role in improving the larger team's bandwidth as well as providing critical subject matter expertise and proactive leadership in critical areas of the business.
What are the key tasks required?
- Director-level thought leadership and strategic support of the VP of wellness and key Global Wellness projects, partnerships, and initiatives.
- Interact with both internal and external partners to deliver on wellness Key Strategic Priorities (KSPs) and development of the enterprise wellness point-of-view.
- Oversight of luxury category brand initiatives, as well as design and development work.
- Leadership of critical enterprise and brand-level design projects and initiatives.
- Leadership of critical enterprise and brand-level fitness projects and initiatives.
- Represent the subject area in collaboration with Hilton's development, brand, and AD&C; teams.
- Foster a culture and demeanor of innovation, continuous improvement, and forward-thinking as it relates to our guests' growing appetite for wellness goods and services.
What are we looking for?
The success in this role will demonstrate itself through the following attributes and skills:
- Experience building wellness brands and doing both high-level and detailed concept work
- Extensive international wellness operations background, property, and above-property level
- International wellness design and development background-technical expertise backed by operational competence, with a strong track record of operationally and commercially successful projects
- Fitness-equipment, trends, operations background (hotel, resort, club)
- Wellness trend spotting and strategic leadership
- Senior-level connectivity within the global wellness industry and adjacent industries
- Global exposure, with the ability to think strategically at the enterprise level, but the know-how to deliver at the category, brand, regional, and even property level.
- Ability to collaborate effectively and build positive relationships with external and internal partners.
- Able to use analytics to improve decision-making, and strong financial acumen.
- Able to innovate processes related to compliance by following regulatory guidelines.
- Outstanding written and verbal communication skills.
- Experience navigating a large, matrixed organization and building consensus with diverse, cross-functional collaborators globally.
- Outstanding organizational, time management, influence, and analytical skills to participate in and support projects in staying on schedule and budget.
To fulfill this role successfully, you should demonstrate the following minimum qualifications:
- Seven (7) years of professional experience
- Five (5) years of experience building wellness brand concepts
- Two (2) years of operational experience in wellness, property, and above-property level
- Experience with international wellness operations
- Strong presentation and analytical skills
It would be helpful in this position for you to demonstrate the following capabilities and distinctions:
- BA/BS Bachelor's degree
- Property design and development experience
