POSITION: GIS Mapping Technician

DEPARTMENT: Gas GIS

LOCATION: Brockton, MA

STARTING RATE OF PAY: $37.03 p/hr.

CURRENTLY POSTED HOURS: 7:00AM –3:30PM

SCHEDULE: M-F

**Union Represented Position**

REMARKS:

The GIS Planner is responsible for the graphical updating and correction of the MA Eversource Gas GIS system and other duties per the GIS Planning classification.

DUTIES:

• Update GIS System, graphical data, and land base from as builts or received drawings as required.
• Place activity report pins within the GIS system.
• Prepare necessary documents and associated drawings for filing state street opening permits, Smallworld map requests, and recordkeeping.
• Prepare necessary documents and associated company records for demolitions.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

1. Must be physically fit to perform all job duties.

2. Must have at a minimum one of the following:

• Associates degree or higher in Computer-Aided Design Technology (CAD) or GIS
• Equivalent certificate from a technical school of collegiate grade
• Equivalent combination of education and experience which includes two (2) years of AutoCad\GIS experience
