As part of a passionate and accomplished team of experts, you will help in the testing of Engines for various Vehicle configurations. You will share in the team’s impact on all aspects of aerospace manufacturing while working with the team to keep the shop functioning at a high level. This position will directly impact the history of space exploration and will require your dedicated commitment and detailed attention towards safe and repeatable spaceflight.

Other responsibilities include:
- Pickup and Deliver Items throughout Alabama Blue Origin facilities.
- Assist Technicians with day-to-day consumable ordering and restocking.
- Assist Inventory Personnel with hardware inventory and tracking
- Perform Tool room Duties such as: signing out tools, ordering replacements, maintaining tools and fittings inventory.
- Has the ability to conduct daily inspections of Vehicles assigned to the work area.
- Takes the initiative to drive 5S and General Housekeeping.
- Capable of conducting work unsupervised once expectations and guidance have been given.
- Capable of reporting to supervisor/management daily progress.
- Provide support to Technicians and I&C technicians with all duties.
- Capable of working with team members to drive continuous process improvement processes impact operations in a positive manner by reducing waste, reducing safety risks and improving quality.
- Open and capable of learning new roles.
- Perform other tasks as directed by Supervision/Management concerning flight hardware, development hardware and administrative tasks.
Qualifications:
- Passion for our mission: Millions of people living and working in space!
- Able to gain access to Redstone Arsenal.
- Has a valid Drivers License.
- Minimum of high school diploma or GED
- Familiar with basic computer operations, Microsoft Office 365 (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Excel)
- Mechanically Inclined and can use basic hand tools.
- Ability to utilize interpersonal and communication techniques, working in a team environment, and taking care of a wide variety of personalities and communication styles.
- Self-motivated and able to complete projects assigned on time with quality.
- Ability to lift 50 lbs. unassisted
- Ability to operate material handling equipment such as but not limited to pallet jacks, forklifts etc.
- Must be willing able to work at heights with appropriate training.
- Must be willing to work outdoors during weather conditions such as rain, snow etc.
- Lifting, standing, climbing, bending, grasping, sitting, pulling, pushing, stooping, stretching, and carrying are generally required to perform the functions of this position
- Must be willing to work all required shift hours, including overtime and weekends, as needed
- Ability to earn trust, maintain positive and professional relationships, and contribute to a culture of inclusion
- Must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum
Desired:
- Able to read schematics or Wiring diagrams.
- Can drive Forklifts, Aerial Lifts etc.
- Willing to travel at least 10% of their time if mission dictates.

Compensation range for on site CO applicants is $18.56-$27.23
