Job description
This position is a highly independent position responsible for implementation of plans and maintenance of mixed landscape beds, lawns and other grounds maintenance tasks on the University of Wisconsin-Madison campus.
- 15% Coordinates the planting, sowing, fertilization, trimming, watering, and spraying of assigned areas
- 5% Maintains and evaluates hardscape maintenance
- 15% Coordinates the spacing of plants, shrubs, trees, and ground cover to ensure proper growth
- 15% Maintains inventory data for assigned area including tagging, insect monitoring, and planting and moving
- 15% Develops, coordinates and executes spraying programs for fungicide, pesticide, and herbicide applications
- 15% Performs all necessary snow removal duties in the winter
- 10% Maintain all mulch beds in assigned area including refreshing and new installation
- 10% Coordinate and execute a maintenance plan for existing shrubs and ground cover in assigned area
