The Fundraising Specialist will research and communicate the NARA NW’s mission to external stakeholders and maintain positive relationships with donors. Assist in planning events, recruiting volunteers, researching fundraising opportunities, writing small grant applications, and delivering presentations. Monitoring the Website/App Donation page, providing management of Direct Solicitation, Crowdfunding, and Capital Campaigns for NARA NW.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Assist in creating and researching fundraising opportunities for NARA NW.
  • Conducts grant opportunity research utilizing reference directories and internet web sites.
  • Research small grant and giving programs and opportunities. Creating a tracking spreadsheet.
  • Provide reporting to the NARA NW Contracts and Grants department and other administrative departments as requested.
  • Attend and participate in networking events to include non-profit and government organizations as assigned.
  • Participate in the NARA NW Events Planning Committee and the Spirit of Giving planning.
  • Represents NARA NW at events/tradeshows/conferences, and other meetings as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Bachelors Degree in relevant field and one-year donation/fundraising experience OR post high school education and 2 years donation/fund raising experience.

Experience working within a Native American community/Tribe(s) is a plus.

Word processing skill and a working knowledge of MS Word, Spreadsheets.

Skill and experience in organizing information, technical report writing, library/web research.

Excellent written, verbal, interpersonal and organizational skills.

Proficient knowledge of office procedures, and ability to represent NARA NW in a professional manner.

Ability to work collaboratively and effectively with teams.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $55,000.00 per year

Schedule:

  • 8 hour shift
