Envision Imaging of Tulsa is seeking a Full-Time Technologist Aide/Phlebotomist for our (Yale Ave.) Tulsa, OK location!


This schedule will be: Monday - Friday; 8:30am - 5:00pm

Pay Range for this position (based on level and years of experience): $14.60 - $20.60 an hour

Summary/Objective:

The Technologist Aide establishes, oversees and coordinates imaging services, patients and procedures to ensure an efficient operation of the imaging center. Collaboratively interacts with Radiologists, imaging staff, and patients, the Technologist Aide facilitates the day-to-day functions of the imaging department assuring a smooth workflow.

Essential Functions

  • Performs detailed clinical screening of patients for technologist review. Informs technologist of any question responses that could interfere with patient safety.

  • Assists patients with securing valuables and changing into proper attire for the examination.

  • Prepares room and non-sterile trays as needed to assist technologists/radiologist.

  • Ensures safety procedures are followed at all times in all security zones of the Center.

  • Supports the technologists in preparing patients for the exam, helping patients on and off the imaging table and escorting them back to the lobby or suitable waiting area.

  • Obtains, imports and validates prior outside studies. Prepares images and paperwork to be sent for interpretation. Sends images through the PACS system to the appropriate location as needed.

  • If qualified, initiates IV for contrast studies. Monitors completion of and retrieves lab values. Has a working knowledge of normal ranges so as to facilitate efficient notification to technologist and radiologist to aid in proper patient flow.

Supervisory Responsibilities

This position has no supervision responsibilities.

Work Environment

This job operates in an environmentally controlled outpatient clinical environment. Potential exposure to radiation, which is minimized by the use of Personal Protective Equipment. Possible exposure to bodily fluids, communicable diseases, toxic substances, ionizing radiation and other conditions common to a medical office environment. Often requires work in cool, dimly lighted rooms.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee may exert up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 30 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects.

The employee is regularly required to use hands and fingers to handle, feel or operate objects, tools or controls and reach with hands and arms. The employee is frequently required to talk and hear. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and the ability to adjust focus.

Job Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications/Experience:

  • One plus year of administrative experience in a healthcare environment – radiology preferred

  • Detail oriented, self-motivated, a problem solver and a team player

  • Ability to navigate multiple computer screens and browsers quickly and accurately

  • Ability to excel in a very fast-pace team environment

  • Ability to continuously “exceed” company and customer expectation

  • Strong communication skills & professional demeanor

Education/Certifications:

  • Minimum of High School diploma or equivalent (GED) – continuing education preferred
  • Active CPR certification
  • Phlebotomy and/or Medical Assistant training is desired
