Work as a member of our team of experienced engineers, technicians and drill crews to deliver
geotechnical engineering and construction quality control services to our clients.

This is an ideal position for a graduate engineer that wants to pursue the geotechnical engineering
field. The candidate will be exposed to a wide variety of projects ranging from residential to multi-
story structures. Our service area includes a wide range of geological deposits, including glacial,
alluvium and loess. Bedrock in the area includes quartzite and shales.

This position includes a mix of field and office work. Field work will consist of visits to construction
sites to observe and evaluate soils for support of footings, floor slabs and pavements. Observe and
document conditions during installation of intermediate and deep foundation elements such as
aggregate piers, helical piles, auger cast piles, micro piles and driven piles. Observe and document
conditions during fill placements, proof rolls and soil cement stabilization. Office work will consist
of coordinating geotechnical explorations, preparation of technical reports along with reviewing
project plans and specifications.

Candidates must be able to communicate effectively with clients and contractors on job sites.
Possession of a strong technical education, professional demeanor, and desire to learn is essential.
Strong attention to detail with excellent analytical and judgment capabilities is necessary.

The majority of our sites are located within a 200-mile radius of Sioux Falls. Limited overnight
travel may be required with position. Per diem is provided if an overnight stay is required.

The position requires the ability to regularly lift and/or move up to 35 pounds and occasionally lift
and/or move up to 50 pounds. You must have and maintain a valid driver’s license.
