Job Summary: In 2022, Unbound Now opened The Reagan, a faith-based, specialized home in Waco for girls ages 12-17 who have experienced sexual exploitation. Our Evening Youth Care Coaches are responsible for the nightly supervision of the youth and the daily preparations of the home. Evening Youth Care Coaches ensure the safety of the youth during the night and maintain the home to ensure a safe, trauma-informed environment.

Status: Non-exempt

Anticipated hours: 40-50 hours/week; some weekends, evenings, and holidays required

Compensation: Hourly Wage

Job Responsibilities:

• Ability to pass all background checks, drug test, and fingerprinting
• Conduct frequent check-ins on each youth in each room to ensure that youth remain in the home and in their own bed. Timeline of check-ins for each youth will be determined by The Reagan’s Administration and Treatment Team based on the individual supervision needs of each youth
  
• Restock supplies throughout the home for the next business day
• Review daily notes from each shift for the day
• Remain alert and awake for the entirety of the shift
• Complete daily summary reports of home/property conditions including repairs/maintenance needs; inventory of items throughout the home; services provided to each youth; and follow-up services and care needed for each youth
• Prepare blank paperwork for staff for the next business day
• Properly file all paperwork for the day for each youth in the youth’s case file
• Participate in team meetings, staff training, and other collaborative efforts as needed
• Complete nightly progress notes
• Develop appropriate, supportive, and professional relationships with each assigned youth
• Provide transportation to youth as needed
• Prepare and serve meals and snacks for youth placed at The Reagan, in accordance with Local Health Codes and Youth Allergies and food restrictions
• Perform residential responsibilities related to the care of youth in The Reagan, including appropriate clothing and hygiene; participation in school/homework, spiritual development, and recreational and age-appropriate skill development activities
• Demonstrate competency, prudent judgment, and self-control in the presence of children and when performing assigned responsibilities

Educational Requirements:

• High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent required. Higher education preferred.

Experience:

• Prior experience working with At-Risk youth preferred
• Education or experience in a child care related, human or social services field preferred.

Working conditions and physical requirements: Work performed in residential home environment. Demands will regularly require lifting 15-20 pounds. Demands require close visual attention and prolonged mental concentration. Work duties may on rare occasion be performed in an environment requiring exposure to weather extremes, fumes, odors, bodily fluids, and noise.
