Jan's Place Restaurant is a small business in Jensen Beach, FL. We are inclusive and bold. We are Only Open 7-2:30. No nights. Excellent hours for family!

BREAKFAST AND LUNCH COOK
Breakfast cook Line Leader wanted for busy breakfast and lunch restaurant in Jensen Beach. We are looking for someone with Common Sense, Intelligence, and Ability to think on their feet and on their own to assist Kitchen Manager in running a crew of Five.

It is a very busy line, and the ability to work under fast paced conditions while aiding crew members on as a Wheel Person or Omelette cook is paramount to the success of this position.

Sautee Experience is a plus.

We use Hand Written Tickets and Value Ticket Timing and Ability to see beyond there own station as an asset.

Must be cool under pressure and self motivated to uphold our standards of quality. Work well with a team, and enjoy coming to work.

Great Starting pay at negotiable, starting at 18 Dollars per hour based on experience, and a great place to lay down roots.

We're a busy family owned established looking to add others who share our standards ideals.

We take pride in every plate, making sure they are picture perfect. Always ensuring the freshest products are being used to prepare our dishes, the line is maintained clean, organized and stocked throughout the shift. The ideal candidate always follows proper health code requirements, food rotation, labeling and sanitation practices.

Requirements/Qualifications:

Demonstrated 2 years of full service restaurant cooking experience;

Breakfast/Egg experience.

Comfortable working with a team in a fast-paced, high volume kitchen environment.

Ability to stay calm under pressure.

Must have strong knife skills.

Must be able to follow written recipes and order tickets.

Outstanding verbal communication and organizational skills.

Understanding of various cooking methods, ingredients, equipment and procedures; must love food and love to work with it.

Accuracy and speed in executing tasks.

Current knowledge of culinary trends and optimized kitchen processes.

Working clean throughout the shift and at Closing time.

Pay: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour
