• Work closely with a team to develop software in an agile fashion
• Design, implement, test, and field new software products
• Lead and mentor less experienced team members
• Work with customers and outside partners to train and support developed products
• Design, implement, document, test and support products for specific business needs with attention to security and scalability

POSITION OVERVIEW

• Design and develop web services and applications in C#, ASP.NET, Angular, Akka.NET and SQL
• Understanding of object-oriented programming and related development principles and patterns
• Excellent problem and troubleshooting skills
• Effective time management and ability to float between multiple projects
• Great team attitude and able to work comfortably with technical staff as well as business and non-technical individuals
• Ability to manage and work independently alongside a larger team
• Ability to learn business rules and processes and apply to software and system design
• Work closely with product management and other developers to understand requirements and implement product features
• Take features from concept to release through all phases of development: Functional specifications, Design specifications, implementation, unit testing, performance testing, scalability testing, and production support
• Participate in peer code review and offer feedback
• Effective written and verbal communication skills

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, electronics engineering or other engineering or technical discipline is required and minimum of five (5) years related experience. An additional eight (8) years of relevant experience may be substituted for education requirement.
• Experience analyzing, designing, and implementing integration solutions using J2EE and related technologies
• Familiar with Agile incremental delivery approach which supports incremental development of high-quality, fully tested application component delivery every 2 weeks
• Strong understanding of object-oriented and domain-driven development principles
• Experience in developing Rest Services
• Experience with MongoDB
• Experience with the following technologies:

o Frontend, UI – ReactJS, JavaScript, HTML5, CSS3

o Backend, Services – J2EE, SpringBoot, NodeJS, Javax, Jersey, Jackson, Jetty, Tomcat

o Continuous Integration/DevOps – Jenkins, Docker, Kubernetes, Maven, Gradle, Git

• Excellent written and oral communication skills
• Self-starter that can work under general direction
• Section 508 compliance experience
• Self-starter that can work under general direction in a highly collaborative, team-based environment
• Ability to obtain a public trust
