As part of our pioneering strategy, the Vitesco Technologies' network infrastructure team is looking for an expert in the field of SD-WAN to help support our global deployment. Utilizing a leading edge SASE provider, we support our global manufacturing, engineering, and sales locations in the areas of WAN, VPN, and Internet Access.

The position will have the following responsibilities:
The Full-Stack Network Engineer will be responsible for providing operational and project support for Vitesco Technologies' enterprise network in the areas of WAN, Internet, and VPN services. The primary responsibility will be to manage and troubleshoot our SASE solution (CATO Networks) from end-to-end which involves interfacing with internal/external customers, third party support, and peers in various areas of operations.
Tasks may include - and are not limited to - the following:
- Supporting the team as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) for the SD-WAN service.
- Have an advanced ability to lead and drive incident based calls and problems through resolution.
- Provide 3rd/4th level on-call support both on and off hours in response to incidents and requests.
- Have an advanced ability to create, test, support, document, and operate new processes and/or services as required for the WAN, Internet, and VPN infrastructure.
- Have the ability to discuss technical details with peers/external experts and to provide succinct summaries for C-Level/internal customers.
- Maintaining network documentation, run-books, diagrams, and network assets as required by our internal policies using a variety of documentation methods (e.g. Sharepoint, Notes, Excel, Visio, etc.).
- The ability to create training documentation/presentations and to train others in your area of expertise.
- Developing and continually improving guidelines and procedures related to the network management processes and procedures.
- Monitoring and tuning the network infrastructure to identify and eliminate issues and potential bottlenecks.
- Provide network services that are cost-effective, reliable, scalable, and secure as required by business demands.
- The ability to travel both locally and globally to support project and/or team meetings and trainings.
Required Qualifications:
- A Bachelor’s degree in computer science or engineering (or equivalent years of experience).
- 5+ years of experience designing, deploying, maintaining, and improving wired, wireless, and complex High Availability (HA) data centers, hybrid, and cloud-based networks.
- Advanced knowledge of SD-WAN (Cato Networks or other) products, services, design, and operation.
- A strong understanding of routing protocols including: BGP, EIGRP, and OSPF.
- Advanced knowledge and experience with networking technologies including: routers, switches, firewalls, LB, HA, VPN, VPLS, MPLS, ACL, NAT, DNS, QoS, and Netflow.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Hands on experience with Cisco routers, switches, and wireless controllers/access points.
- Hands on experience with cloud service providers such as AWS and Azure.
- A familiarity with cloud-native security, network solutions, and tools in AWS and Azure.
- Certifications such as Cisco CCNA/CCNP, Azure, AWS, or equivalent.
- A familiarity with tools such as: Solarwinds, Wireshark, Cisco ISE, and NMap.
- Scripting experience: Python, Perl, Bash, and windows scripts (VBS/PowerShell).
