Description:

Paragon Industries is a steel pipe manufacturing company looking for a Full-Charge Bookkeeper to join the team. The Bookkeeper reports to the CFO/Controller and is responsible for, but not limited to, maintaining the day-to-day accounting functions, weekly and monthly reporting, accruals, performing general accounting functions and assisting in financial statement preparation, as required.

Qualifications:

• Accounting degree (preferred, but not required)
• Proficient in accounting software (5 years minimum experience)
• Knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles
• Bookkeeping experience (minimum 5 years)
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office
• Intermediate to Advanced Skill Level in Microsoft Excel
• Ability to prioritize and multi-task in a fast paced work environment
• Highly organized and detail oriented
• Able to complete tasks accurately and timely with minimal supervision
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Thrives in a team player office environment
• Ability to work alone
• Ability to interface well with staff and external contacts
• Proven ability to maintain confidentiality
• Strong organizational skills

Responsibilities:

• Reconcile all balance sheet accounts; reviewing for input accuracy
• Prepare weekly and monthly reports, as needed
• General ledger maintenance and journal entry preparation and posting
• Assist in preparing monthly financial statements
• Maintain required business documents
• Assistance with the month-end and year-end close and audit process
• Maintain financial document retention files
• Ad Hoc reporting as identified
• Perform other related duties as may be requested by the CFO
• Review and audit inventory reports
