Front Office Floater

PRIMARY PURPOSE

New England PET Imaging System is hiring a part-time Front Office Coordinator in our Methuen office. This is a “float” position which requires employee willingness to also work in our other 2 office locations: Lowell, MA. and Manchester, NH as needed.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

1) Responsible for the internal process of coordinating all patient bookings. Major aspects of the patient’s appointment involve communicating the relevant aspects to all necessary parties (pharmacy, physicians, technologists, and transcriptionist). This process involves scheduling, pre-certification determinations assuring financial reimbursement for services, promoting adequate documentation, and communicate with all parties (patients, physicians, technologists, oncology staff) involved in the day to day PET/CT operations.

2) Obtain patient medical record information

3) Schedule patients, collaborates with Technologists on scheduling issues

4) Telephone patients to review prep instructions for PET/CT scanning

5) Verify patient’s insurance eligibility, pre-certification for scan

6) Check in patients on day of scan, collect insurance co-pays

7) Work autonomously, demonstrates the ability to recognize priorities and manage them accordingly

8) Computer skills: Microsoft Office, Outlook, Excel, ability to troubleshoot

9) Medical terminology

10) Coordinate with Billing Department on patient billing issues

11) HIPAA compliance

Work Schedule

Monday through Friday (hours may vary)

Pay: $25.00 - $29.00 per hour
