Love and Appreciation for all things food and beverage? We are looking for a Front of House Manager who demonstrates professionalism, able to recognise overall restaurant priorities, empowers others and is dedicated.

Qualifications and Skills

  • Previous experience as a Restaurant or Hospitality Manager preferred
  • Goal-oriented, results-driven, excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to prioritize multiple tasks with outstanding organizational skills
  • Excellent communication skills with the capability of identifying and resolving workplace challenges
  • Professional appearance and impeccable hygiene standards
  • Knowledge of Public Health Policies
  • Certification of OLCC Servers Permit and Food Handlers Card
  • Computer savvy with experience using google docs and various software systems such as word processing, spreadsheets, and databases
  • Ability to advocate sound financial and business decision making
  • Representation of the property in media events per request by General Manager
  • Able to work overtime to accomplish all major responsibilities, including mornings, evenings, weekends and holidays
  • An aptitude for identifying and creating solutions to address changing operational needs
  • Willingness to support all departments and hop into any roll when needed
  • Demonstrate sound judgement and take decisive, appropriate actions
  • Ability to meet moderate physical demands, including lifting, bending, climbing, and long periods of standing or walking and lifting 40lbs or more
  • Over the age of 21

Responsibilities

  • Maintain a friendly, guest-oriented culture to ensure guests feel welcome and given responsive, professional and gracious service
  • Represent the restaurants business partnerships professionally using effective communication and cooperation
  • Learn and embrace business policies, practices and procedures
  • Collaborate with Managers and leads to ensure execution of service, food safety, and operational standards
  • Proactively identify opportunities, creating action plans to enhance and optimize food & beverage operations; streamline processes to maximize efficiency and resources
  • Lead and support a dedicated staff, maximizing employee satisfaction, productivity and retention; meet with Leads and Managers to provide feedback & operational updates
  • Supervise and manage employees; understand each position well enough to perform duties in an employees’ absence
  • Establish and maintain open, collaborative relationships with employees through mutual trust and respect; foster opportunities for the staff to learn and grow
  • Have an in-depth understanding of working hours policies & procedures; Oversee scheduling and staffing of Front of House staff and if necessary, correct entries for payroll
  • Implement front of house-training programs based focusing on guest experience, back of house partnership, and safety protocols
  • Ensure that all Human Resources related issues are handled properly and fairly, in line with General Manager’s standards; Offer positive solutions to problems or issues
