Front End Developer
Job description
UI/UX Developer – Requirements
Minimum 5 years’ experience with at least 3 focused on JavaScript UI development.
· General Responsibilities
o Design and develop front-end code for our applications
o Interact with business users, development leads and other stakeholders to understand and clarify business and system requirements
o Work collaboratively with back-end developers to integrate UI applications with REST services
o Identify opportunities to improve interface consistency and accessibility
o Contribute new components and features to our common UI framework [RT(1]
o Provide code documentation and other inputs to technical documents
o Maintain high coding and quality standards and participate in code reviews
o Participate in project reviews and keep project teams informed of development progress and issues
· Required experience
o Developing JavaScript UI applications using modern frameworks such as VueJS (preferred), ReactJS, Angular
o Using front-end development tools such as Babel, Webpack, npm, Yarn
o Developing JavaScript clients for REST services
o In-depth knowledge of JavaScript, TypeScript, CSS, HTML, and other front-end fundamentals
o Familiar with state management tools such as Vuex (preferred) and Redux
o Working knowledge of web accessibility guidelines and ADA compliance testing tools
o Familiar with client-based debugging and performance testing software
o Familiar with using responsive UI design using flexbox or grid layouts
· Nice to have experience
o Experience with JavaScript unit testing
o Git version control in a collaborative environment [R(4]
o Experience with Java/Spring Boot
o Experience with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins
o Experience working with databases
· Non-technical Skills (Required)
o Critical thinking skills – Able to reverse-engineer and analyze existing code. Able to logically design effective solutions to business and functional requirements.
o Communication – able to communicate in a clear concise and logical manner when both speaking and writing; capable to manage business and technical team expectations
o Initiative – be a self-starter based on what is needed to be done; raise issues, options and opportunities when recognized
o Organization – able to organize work to complete tasks assigned on time
o Leadership – capable to execute code reviews and own technical solutions to problems
