Assist the Front Desk Manager to direct and coordinate the activities of the Front Office operation (Front Desk, Reservation, and Information) to provide efficient and courteous service to each guest and maximize occupancy and guest room revenue.

  • Must be able to perform all the duties and responsibilities of the Senior Front Desk Host position including:
  • Have a thorough knowledge of the resort and local area
  • Accurately check-in/check-out guests following established key control and credit guidelines
  • Thorough knowledge of transient and group rate plans and be able to accurately make a reservation in PMS
  • Know how to accurately post an adjustment to room charges, guest service charges, and guest payments. Know how to accurately post payments and charges to owner’s accounts
  • Supervises the Front Office operation to provide efficient and courteous service to each guest while maximizing guest room occupancy and revenue.
  • Follows the vision set for the resort and department to keep everyone working towards a common goal.
  • Effectively communicates between hosts and management team to keep everyone well informed of new processes, concerns, issues, and information.
  • Monitors mobile key process for accuracy and timeliness
  • Monitors phone activity to ensure calls are answered in 3 rings and that abandoned calls are minimized
  • Ensure adherence to resort policies and standard operating procedures
  • Assists hosts with resolving guest issues. Ensures resolution satisfies the guest’s needs and makes financial sense for the resort.
  • Works with the Front Desk Manager and Senior Hosts to continuously provide training and coaching for the front office team. Identifies deficiencies and opportunities for improvement and helps to implement actions plans to address the deficiencies.
  • Assists with recruiting and interviewing potential new hosts
  • Assists with scheduling to appropriately staff the front desk according to occupancy, check-ins, check-outs, and budget.
  • Works well in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ensure all front desk checklists are followed and reviews daily work to confirm it is complete and error-free.
  • Ensures that proper cash handling procedures are followed
  • Supports the goals of the resort through teamwork and collaboration with all departments.
  • Trained in the night audit procedures and fills in when necessary, including:
  • Auditing arrivals for accuracy
  • Balancing credit card batch in PMS to credit card processor and settling
  • Preparing and distributing end of the day reports
  • Processing no-show reservations
  • Monitors supply inventories and assists with ordering.
  • Ensure that all call-offs and staff shortages are covered.
  • Manages Bounte lost and found program.
  • Performs other duties as required or requested.
Requirements:
  • High School Diploma required; College preferred
  • Previous Front Desk experience
  • Previous experience in a leadership role
  • Experience working with Word, Excel, and Outlook required
  • Lodgical PMS or other property management software experience required
  • Available to work all shifts required

Physical Requirements:

  • Must be able to stand on feet for an 8-hour shift when required.
  • Must be able to lift maximum of 40 lbs.
