JOB SUMMARY:


Accountable for providing personal attention, responsiveness, dependability, promptness, employee competence, and politeness to our guests, thereby ensuring guest satisfaction with all aspects of their stay. The Front Desk Supervisor is also accountable to coordinate the daily operation of the Front Office to include the PBX, Front Desk, Bell Staff, and Night Audit


FUNCTIONAL ACCOUNTABILITIES
:


  • Accountable for providing personal attention, responsiveness, dependability, promptness, employee competence, and politeness to our guests and other team members. This includes non-verbal communication such as: eye contact, active listening, and body language.,
  • Maintain a courteous CAN DO attitude towards our guests, as well as other team members.
  • Handle registration and departure for guests efficiently and courteously at all times while constantly aware of room availability and rate at The Best Western Grand Canyon Squire Inn, as well as other local properties.
  • Work closely with Housekeeping and Maintenance to process and service guest and other team members efficiently by communicating rushes, tour arrivals, departures, VIP rooms and repairs.
  • Accurately maintain your issued bank in accordance with proper cash handling procedures.
  • Provide accurate and timely information on services and amenities within The Best Western Grand Canyon Squire Inn, and surrounding area, both voluntarily and upon request.
  • Understand OPERA reservations system to maintain current and future reservations. As well as reserve, cancel, and change reservations for other Best Western Properties upon request.
  • Maintain proper security and guest confidentiality at all times.
  • Complete all tasks assigned to you on the shift checklist in a timely accurate manner
  • This position is accountable for the training and development of front desk Partners.
  • Sets the tone for the day and maintains a positive and professional demeanor at all times.
  • Acts as a liaison between the resort and the guest.
  • Maintains communication with Front Desk Manager and Rooms Director.
  • Other duties as assigned.


PHYSICAL AND ENVIRONMENTAL DEMANDS
:


  • Ability to stand for long periods
  • Dexterity for fingering, handling, and wrist motion.


CERTIFICATE/LICENSE
:


  • Employment Eligibility for the United States


  • High School graduate or equivalent required
  • Basic knowledge of customer service
  • Basic knowledge of computer system
  • Previous employment in the hospitality industry is preferred
  • Good problem solving skills
  • Must possess excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Punctual and dependable
  • Front desk experience
  • Excellent telephone skills
  • Previous leadership experience
  • Must have superior guest service skills
  • Must be able to work any shift as needed.
