The True Foundation Director (TFD) is responsible for the successful implementation of True Foundation’s Pathways, Programs, and Partnerships. The role represents the vision/mission/values/principles of the True Foundation to the communities True Homes serves. The TFD is a catalyst for the manifestation of the desired outcomes of all True Foundation Pathways, Programs, and Partnerships. The role seeks out new ways to pursue the achievement of the Vision and Mission of the True Foundation. The role is a catalyst for providing opportunities for all Associates to engage in the efforts of the True Foundation.

Responsibilities:

Leadership

    • Represents and demonstrates the vision, mission, values, principles of True Homes and the True Foundation
    • Ensures that attitudes, approaches, and actions are in accordance with the culture of True Homes and the True Foundation
    • Pursues the formation and performance of pathways and partnerships in support of the Priorities of the True Foundation (Empowering Associates, Affordable Housing, Industry Jobs)
    • Engages in strategic planning and identifying new initiatives in support of True Foundation Priorities
    • Supervises staff and/or volunteers involved in pathways and/or programs
    • Ensures that all operations function efficiently and within budget
    • Advocates for True Homes Associate engagement in True Foundation, identifying and creating opportunities for involvement
    • Supports True Homes Market Partners and Centralized Services Leadership Team to identify and execute their annual Love Works Initiates (Community Compassion, US Day)
    • Oversees marketing and communications efforts including pathway/program campaigns, collateral, social media, digital marketing plans, etc.
    • Oversees execution of the annual True Foundation Impact Statement
    • Supports Executive Team planning of annual financial budget, priorities, and game plan

Partnerships

    • Leads the formation of new partnerships on behalf of the True Foundation in alignment with identified priorities, pathways, and programs
    • Develops and maintains relationship-based partnerships by being uniquely exceptional in how they relate with them
    • Maintains regular contact with partners and provides updates on pathway and program status and outcomes, addresses challenges, and ensures success of program
    • Coordinates partner relations events to raise awareness, interest, and support of the True Foundation
    • Seeks out new opportunities and relationships in the communities we serve to further the vision/mission of the True Foundation

Pathways & Programs

  • Pursues the development of pathways and partnerships that support the priorities of the True Foundation
  • Ensures pathways and programs of the True Foundation are fully implemented, effective, and sustainable

Love Works

    • Mission: To foster a culture where Associates are encouraged to bring their talent, time, and treasure to positively impact people and places where they possess personal passion or interest; To empower and equip True Homes Associates to be agents of love within the communities where we serve and live; To create spaces and opportunities for Associates to fulfill the vision and mission of the True Foundation
    • Programming: Employee matching, Community Compassion initiatives, US Day, True Foundation Homes

Affordable Housing

    • Mission: To deliver 100 permanently affordable rental units (PARs) per year at a targeted 60%-70% AMI; To deliver 200 targeted affordable homes (TARs) per year with prices below $300,000 (Target 80% – 100% AMI); To deliver 100 accessory dwelling units (ADUs) per year with prices below $100,000
    • Programming: Answer Collection, Doorway to Prosperity, True ADU/Yes Initiative
    • Partnerships: Crossland Southeast, Freedom Communities, Truist

Doorway to Prosperity

    • Mission: To provide home solutions at scale for targeted AMI homeowners; Build homeowner capacity to sustain home ownership and create generational wealth; Homeowners partner with Doorway to Prosperity to support future Homebuyers Collectives; To be a catalyst for long-term neighborhood transformation and health
    • Programming: Doorway to Prosperity Program, Homebuyer’s Collective – build capacity and community for members of Doorway to Prosperity, connecting homeowners to down payment assistance and financing programs, providing grants
    • Partnerships: DreamKey Partners, HouseCharlotte, Bank of America, Truist

Workforce Development

    • Mission: To provide pathways to enable young adults to develop careers within the homebuilding industry; To bridge the gap between opportunity and need; To be a catalyst for job opportunities that support a living wage
    • Programming: True Homes summer internships (college), vocational summer internships (high school)
    • Partnerships: Builders Bridge, Advanced Framing/Mechanical, South Piedmont Community College (SPCC)

Universities

    • Mission: To engage, equip and empower college students to pursue a career within the homebuilding industry
    • Programming: Grants, scholarships, internships, mentoring, curriculum development, teaching, local neighborhood impact
    • Partnerships: NCA&T, Wingate University, SPCC, NAHB Endowment

EntrePath

    • Mission: To assist minority and female entrepreneurs to initiate, build and sustain a business within the homebuilding industry
    • Programming: Executive and Senior Leader mentoring and support
  • Creates, implements, and manages all program logistics (e.g., scheduling needs, resources)
  • Evaluates program performance against agreed upon objectives and metrics guided by the True Foundation
  • Develops and documents all systems, methods, and processes associated with pathways and programs

Results/Accountability:

  • Achieves tangible results within the defined areas of focus of leadership, partnerships, pathways, and programs that are measurable and results focused
  • Operates within approved annual financial budget

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred
  • Three or more years of managerial and/or project management
  • Experience with business to business (B2B) sales, relationship building, networking, and vendor recruitment preferred
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office
  • Valid driver’s license, current automobile insurance, and reliable personal transportation required for daily travel in NC and SC

Physical Requirements:

  • Must be able to remain in a stationary position 75% of the time
  • Associate needs to occasionally move about the office to access file cabinets, office equipment, etc.
  • Constantly operates a computer and other office equipment
