JOB SUMMARY:

The Foster Care Licensing Specialist makes recommendations to Kenosha County Division of Children and Family Services regarding the licensing of foster parent applicants. This position also assists with program recruitment and retention.


Salary:
$22.00 per hour

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive foster care licensing studies and evaluations in accordance with DCF 56
  • Exercise judgment to intervene as an advocate for foster parents in emergency and crisis situations.
  • Assist with ongoing program planning and development.
  • Assist with program recruitment and retention.
  • Facilitate Foundation Training and Pre-Placement Training for foster parents.
  • Coordinate placements for foster children to match their needs to appropriate providers.
  • Be available via phone to assist Foster Parents with any questions or concerns they may have.
  • Handle all inquiries for foster care licensing.
  • Maintain contact as needed and provide support to foster parents.
  • Attend unit meetings at Kenosha County Division of Children and Family Services when necessary.
Requirements:
  • Must have reliable transportation on a daily basis, a valid driver's license, and automobile insurance.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Social Work, Psychology, Criminal Justice, or other related fields is required.
