JOB DESCRIPTIONS: FOREMAN

Every Foreman must be a “working foreman”. This means that every foreman must engage in the duties required to complete projects.

See each classification for each type of work to determine the duties required for each type of work.

Supervisory Duties for foreman

Track employee time on timesheets and submit to payroll in a timely and accurate manner.

Responsible for checking the accuracy of paperwork such as material receipts and submitting paperwork to the office in a timely manner.

Read, understand and interpret documents including but not limited to project plans, manufacturer instruction booklets for attenuators, lights, and other material. Also must read, understand and interpret FDOT standards all in order to properly install materials. Also must follow instructions from project managers regarding completion of projects.

Order and acquire material including arrangements for delivery and/or pickup.

Supervise personnel for productivity, quality, safety, government rules and regulations including safety equipment and procedures and also maintain and enforce company policies and procedures. May also be required to handle arrangements for accommodating crews for projects worked both in and out of town, including, but not limited to reserving hotel rooms and transporting personnel for meal breaks. Also responsible for overall maintenance of project including proper operation of equipment and contacting other company personnel for assistance when needed.

Communicate with contractors, inspectors and any other pertinent personnel with other companies related to completion of projects.

Physical Requirements to perform duties safely require maximum range of motion in all limbs, back, neck and torso. Duties include, but are not limited to, heavy lifting, walking, standing, sitting, squatting, climbing, twisting and reaching. Duties also require, but are not limited to, the use of eyes, ears, verbal communication and mental facility. Because of the level of physical exertion used for the above duties, the good health of the employees is necessary, including heart, lungs, nervous system and other organs and system functions.

Other Requirements:

Equipment requiring a CDL licensed driver would be perfect, but we will train the supervisor to get the license and pay the cost. Working out of town when required, working nights and weekends when required.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $18.00 - $22.00 per hour
