Job Title: Food Service Supervisor

Reports to: Food Service Director

Job Summary: The Food Service Supervisor (FSS) implements food service strategies and tactics, milestones, goals and objectives. The FSS also manages profitability and sales growth of the categories and subcategories for which they are responsible. The FSS will oversee implementation and execution of recipes, product specs, equipment utilization, care, and training support for all food service initiatives. Provide leadership, implementation, execution support and guidance to ensure that all Standard Operating Procedures (SOP’s and best practices) are met.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement best industry practices for all food service directives.
  • Teach, enforce, and implement food service planograms.
  • Oversee the execution of existing and future programs through regular store visits.
  • Schedule and implement new product rollouts, LTO schedules, Beverage schedules, Category enhancements and upgrades as directed by the Department Heads.
  • Complete Food Service situation reports, food safety inspections and required Zenput forms.
  • Must, at an expert level, master food service equipment cleaning, operation, and troubleshooting.
  • Address and resolve any deficiencies, challenges, or non-compliance issues immediately with good judgement, tact and great communication skills.
  • Demonstrate abilities to think strategically about complex issues, leading to thoughtful recommendations and creative action plans and solutions.
  • High level of problem-solving skills; must be highly analytical and be able to create/interpret a variety of reports.
  • Attend and participate in regularly scheduled departmental, food service and one on one meetings.
  • Interface professionally and works effectively in team setting, acts as a role model within and outside of the department.
  • Must adhere to company policies and procedures.
  • Demonstrate flexible and efficient time management and the ability to work independently and prioritize work utilizing Outlook Calendar or other tools as required by department head.

Education and Training:

  • High School Diploma
  • 5 years of culinary experience
  • Training experience in food service/restaurant industry
  • Demonstrate abilities to think strategically about complex issues, leading to thoughtful recommendations and creative action plans and solutions
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills. Ability to present and sell to varying audiences
  • High comfort level with Microsoft Outlook & Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word)
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, start-up type environment
  • Must be serve safe certified
  • Must have a valid drivers license and transportation

Physical Demands:

  • Intermittent sitting and standing.
  • Requires visual acuity, good hearing and speech.
  • Requires reaching, bending, and lifting up to 25 pounds of weight
