Job description
Meridian Health Services is seeking a full time Food Service Specialist to work in our cafeteria servicing up to 120 clients per day.
Guaranteed 40 hours per week. Schedule: 6:30am - 5:30pm (4- 10 Hour Shifts) Rotating schedule with every other weekend off
Generous paid time off after 90 days.
Essential staff are currently paid another $2.35 per hour for 8 hours of shift.
Must be able to drive company vehicle
REQUIRED DUTIES
- Set up, serve, and/or assist in serving food items while adhering to policies and procedures including, but not limited to, portion control, quality control, and sanitation standards.
- Correctly measure ingredients and portion food items as directed.
- Deliver plated food to assigned areas and return carts with soiled trays to the kitchen.
- Provide a “welcoming” experience and exceptional customer service to all who visit Meridian.
- Maintain dishes and kitchen/eating areas.
- Other duties as assigned
MINIMUM REQUIRED EDUCATION/TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE:
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Food Service experience preferred but not required.
REQUIRED SKILLS:
- Ability to work with minimal supervision.
- Ability to work efficiently with minimal errors.
- Ability to work with various personality types.
- Ability to conduct self in a professional and ethical manner.
- Organizational skills.
- Ability to maintain a safe and sanitary work area.
