Prepared Foods/Cook
Brookhaven Marketplace is a chain of family owned; customer focused local stores in the south west suburbs of Chicago, IL. With locations in Darien, Mokena and Burr Ridge we strive to bring the communities we serve the finest foods from around the world.
Requires flexibility to work a varied work schedule, including weekends, and holidays.
PREFER EXPERIENCE
Assist with food preparation. Prepares and cooks food in quantities as instructed. Operates slicer, mixer, grill, deep fryer, and other kitchen equipment and appliances in the process of preparing food. Keep the department clean and organized. Sanitize all equipment in a safe and proper manner.
REQUIRED:
- Must have a general knowledge of food preparation and techniques
- Be able to follow recipes according to spec and deliver a consistent product
- Knowledge of proper food handling and sanitation procedures and guidelines
- Must be able to stand and walk for long periods, repeated bending, squatting, twisting and stretching, repeatedly lifting up to 50 lbs. during a standard shift
- Work in varied temperature-controlled environments (refrigeration, freezer, and hot food preparation)
- Proper handling of cutting equipment.
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Salary: $16.00 - $18.00 per hour
