Sodexo currently has a job opening for an enthusiastic Food Operations Manager 1, to join our team at Walnut Hill School of the Arts located in Natick, MA. This is a small private independent boarding and day high school offering a transformational educational experience designed for student artists in grades 9–12. Like the school itself, our dining program focuses on creativity, variety and engagement to support the overall school experience. The Operations Manager will have a very high level of client and customer interaction. In this highly customized dining program, we offer a variety of authentic global cuisine, dietary accommodations, sustainability initiatives and catering, including high end catering functions. The Food Operations Manager will report directly to the General Manager and be accountable for the oversight of all food service and a very high level of catering.
This is a unique opportunity with growth opportunity. Reporting directly to the General Manager, the Operations Manager will lead employees who are creating dishes in our recently renovated kitchen and dining hall and servings guests in front of house and catering events.

- Executive Chefs with front of house experience, with desire to move into GM track encouraged to apply.
- The ideal candidate will have experience with very high end catering.
- Flexible schedule: Sunday to Thursday 12pm-8:30pm/11am-8pm.

- Have a work history demonstrating strong employee engagement leadership skills, as well as previous supervisory experience and the ability to work collaboratively
- Have culinary production experience and a strong background in safety and sanitation compliance
- Can manage multiple priorities, demonstrate professional communication skills and passion for a high level of customer service
- Prioritize tasks and exhibit flexibility to take on additional responsibilities as needed
- Demonstrate working knowledge of Sodexo Food Management Systems (FMS & DRIVE) The Market Connection (TMC) and is proficient in computer skills and report management experience preferred. (This does not apply to external candidates).

Key Duties
- Establishes a safe work environment

Basic Management Experience - 2 years
Basic Functional Experience – 1 year work experience in food or culinary services including restaurants, fast food, vending, catering services, institutional services, mall food courts, etc.
