Join Dewberry's Dynamic Team as a Transportation Leader!
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Transportation Leader in Central FL to help grow our transportation practice in Florida. This is a unique opportunity to make a real impact, as the selected candidate will play a key role in staff professional development, growth, retention, and recruiting, as well as developing and executing client and business development strategies.
The Transportation Leader will oversee a group of 40-45 engineers, project managers, and technicians, who provide professional services to numerous public agencies. The selected candidate will partner with other business lines Florida leaders and transportation leaders through the organization to work collectively on contracts and pursuits. The Transportation Leader must understand and have in-depth knowledge and experience, and client relationships in the Florida transportation market and be able to provide updates and presentation to the highest levels of Dewberry.

- Direct, guide and inspire a team of 40-45 project managers, engineers and technicians.
- Partner with operations and HR to recruit, retain, develop and grow a high-performing team.
- Motivate employees to support the company vision/goals.
- Ability to mobilize, energize, and organize cross-functional teams for success in winning and delivering complex projects.
- Collaborate proactively and productively with other groups and company offices across the Southeast operating unit.
- Drive business development activities and opportunity capture planning, proposal writing and oversight.
- Expected to lead the client team for several infrastructure clients.
- Responsible for operations that lead to meeting sales, revenue and profit goals.
- Serve as Project Manager for large, complex projects that require seasoned management skills.
- BS in Engineering with 20+ years of highway or bridge engineering and project management experience.
- 10+ years of management experience leading a team of professionals in the Florida transportation market.
- Experience in alternative delivery for Transportation projects.
- MS Degree in Civil focused on transportation is desirable.
- Professional Engineer in Florida.
- Demonstrated project management success for sizeable projects for the following agencies: FDOT, CFX, and local municipalities.
- Connections with FDOT agency capital project and program managers.
- Strong interpersonal and leadership skills.
- Recognized leader in business development and client relationship development.
- Strategic development and problem-solving skills plus goal driven energized by challenges.
- Expert communicator, motivator and influencer.
- Demonstrated expertise in managing and motivating high-performing teams, designing and executing strategy that impacts regional and national prominence.
- Local travel will be required.
- Driving is a requirement of the position. Must be able to maintain a clean driving record.
