Job Description – Shipping Tag Flexographic Press Operator

Minor set-ups and operate flexographic printing press to print designs or lettering on rolls of tag–paper. With the help of the supervisor reads the job order and mount specified rubber plate and printing dies on cylinders, install cylinder on shaft, and secure assembly in press. Set up the tag patching unit and align it with the rest of the tag. Fill fountains with prescribed inks. Move levers to engage dye rolls, adjust cylinder position to print two or more colors without overlapping or smearing the previously printed area. Insert shaft through the core of paper or plastic rolls and secure rolls on the press in feed position. Using tape, splice the end of the roll to the trailer sheet remaining in press. Start Press, adjust speed, and alignment of printing plate as necessary. Cut a sample of printed material from the end of printed roll and inspect for imperfections, such as blurred or off-center impressions. Clean rubber plate, cylinder, and other machine parts, and lubricate press as needed.

Job Description: Tag and Label printing company is hiring an experienced flexo press operator for the night shift (Start 3 PM finish at 11:30 PM). Job Duties include set up operation and maintenance of narrow web flexographic press. Read and follow job order instructions. Monitor production throughout the shift to ensure quality printed products. Perform routine and preventative maintenance. Maintain a clean and safe work environment. Qualifications include a minimum of 2 - 5 years of experience operating narrow web flexographic printing presses; Mark Andy, Webtron preferred. Good troubleshooting and mechanical skills are required. Good eye for color. OT as needed. Competitive rates + medical and good company benefits.
