Corning Credit Union is seeking a Financial Services Representative in our Wilmington, NC market. This role requires strong sales, service, and relationship building skills, as well as the flexibility to provide exceptional, “one-stop” service to our members to meet all their financial needs.

As a Financial Service Representative, you will:

• Be responsible for meeting a wide range of member needs through the seamless integration of Lending and Membership
• Gather applicant information for consumer loan applications, review and analyze credit reports, and make sound lending decisions
• Provide exceptional service, support, and education to our members including recommending additional products and services to meet their financial needs and contribute to a lasting relationship
• Assists with other member service functions
• Assumes responsibility for other projects or duties assigned

The ideal candidate will possess:

• Prior knowledge in consumer lending, membership operations and regulations
• Strong customer service and communication skills
• Ability to work well in a fast paced, high volume lending environment
• Strong written and oral communication skills
• Detail orientation with strong organization and follow-up skills
• A high level of initiative
• Excellent judgment and analytical skills with the ability to think outside the box when working with complex situations
• Proficiency in Microsoft Windows applications
• A Bachelor's degree in business or finance is preferred, commensurate work experience considered
