Location: Scottsdale, AZ
We are seeking a Financial Planning & Analysis Manager with a minimum of 5 years' experience working at the corporate level of a multi-state enterprise, public accounting, private equity or similar.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Managing the annual budgeting process, monthly reforecast and daily flash forecast, working with business unit leadership to build forecasts
- Identify and research variances to forecast, budget, and prior-year expenses, proactively identifying opportunities for improvement.
- Support decision making by providing management timely, detailed and meaningful insights and visibility on business performance
- Work closely with senior management to identify and formulate analysis explaining efficiency and productivity opportunities for both short and long-term financial planning
- Identify and understand business challenges; propose and create solutions
- Prepare ad-hoc analysis of financial impact in support of day-to-day operational decisions, in conjunction with operations finance and operations management (e.g., pay rate change analysis).
- Develop financial models to project performance and return on investment of organic expansion opportunities
- Prepare business cases to support new investment, strategic and other business decisions
- Assist in the preparation of presentations that provide insightful analysis, identify required action items, and effectively frame decisions that need to be made
- Delivery of competitor analysis, market trends and associated commentary to the management team
- Review operations and recommending new productivity or cost saving initiatives
- Assist with acquisition due diligence
- Develop and maintain effective relationships with business partners and cross-functional teams at all levels of the organization
- Assist with month-end close process, including, but not limited to, management reporting, pre-close P&L review and statistical journal entries
- Participate in the preparation required financial reporting for governmental oversight (e.g., CMS, AZ State BEMS)
Required qualifications include:
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and adapt to a changing, fast-paced environment
- Superior attention to detail and ability to successfully manage multiple competing priorities while maintaining a view of the big picture
- Excellent analytical skills, including the utilization of reporting tools
- Strong oral and written communication skills to compose and deliver responses to team members and senior leadership
- Advanced computer software skills – Microsoft Office suite required, Power BI, SQL and Anaplan a plus, but not required
- Bachelor’s degree and more than five years of experience in finance or accounting or a related area
- Professional qualification such as CPA, CFA or equivalent experience a plus
