Aeriz is seeking a full-time Financial Planning and Analysis Director for our state-of-the-art indoor aeroponic cannabis production facility in Anna, IL. The Financial Planning and Analysis Director will provide financial analysis and partner with facility leadership to perform planning, financial forecasting, budget-to-actual variance reporting, and financial modeling. This individual will be responsible for implementing best practices in FP&A, utilizing data driven analysis for financial planning and general business and financial analyses and identifying cost saving opportunities to maximize facility profitability.

This role is a full-time onsite position, based in Anna, IL.


Responsibilities

  • Partner with facility department heads to prepare annual budget and update financial forecasts.
  • Partner with Corporate Finance on monthly and quarterly accounting close process by providing required information and assisting with the development of standard costs for products produced at the facility.
  • Coordinate and oversee physical inventories and audits.
  • Develop and review production performance and Key Performance Indicators (KPI) and related data with management.
  • Understand trends and analyze root causes.
  • Develop and analyze harvest yield reports.
  • Prepare and provide reports and data to facility department heads to assist them in managing their departments’ operations and expenses.
  • Analyze cost drivers and identify and recommend opportunities for cost-effective solutions.
  • Provide financial support on as needed basis to General Manager and facility department heads.
  • Oversee fixed asset safeguarding and tracking along with financial analysis to monitor capital projects.
  • Conduct ad-hoc analyses, special projects, and other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related degree.
  • 10+ years of accounting/finance experience in FP&A required.
  • 5+ years in a manufacturing/production environment required.
  • Cannabis industry experience preferred.
  • Experience with manufacturing ERP systems is a plus.
  • Strong competency in Microsoft Office to be used for analysis work and presentations.
  • Advanced knowledge of accounting principles, practices, standards, laws, and regulations.
  • Highly motivated, self-directed, and innovative with the ability to work independently and as part of a team while demonstrating good judgement, common sense, and resourcefulness.
  • Able to adapt and thrive in a demanding, fast-paced environment.
  • Superior communication and interpersonal skills (verbal, non-verbal, and written) with the ability to build relationships at all levels.
  • Possess a high level of critical thinking.
  • Operate with a high level of professionalism and integrity, including using good judgement in dealing with confidential information.
  • High attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Must be 21 years of age or older and authorized to work in the United States.
  • Able to successfully register as an agent in state’s cannabis commission.
  • Must adhere to all laws, regulations, and policies associated with the industry.
