Primary Accountability:

The position is accountable for planning with clients and prospects and identifying strategies of non-deposit investment products that align with clients identified financial goals and priorities while acting in a fiduciary capacity and best interest standard. Position must follow outlined client experience process leading with financial planning. They have to be able to make complex and sophisticated independent recommendation for appropriate solution after complete profiling, understanding clients financial situation, goals and objectives. This position supports senior position in assigned market to assist in managing existing client base contact and appointment preparation and provide recommendations with supporting documents. Position will support assigned team located in the contact center to provide training, education, and be contact resource for appointments and fielding prospect opportunities to grow own book of business.

Principal Accountabilities:

Meet all assigned sales goals for investments, insurance, trust

  • Schedule own appointments by working existing segmented book of business in assigned market, follow outlined client experience process, make recommendations, complete all paperwork following outlined processes and procedures.
  • Accept and hold all appointments scheduled from internal opportunities within outlined limits following all outlined client experience process.
  • Independently work opportunities presented by Contact Center leads following all outlined processes and case reviews.
  • Become expert resource through education, training offerings, and advanced designation.

Strengthen client relationships for retention and growth.

  • Assist senior representative in completing account reviews, preparing all necessary data, make recommendations and provide documentation (illustrations, financial plan) to support recommendation.
  • Check systems to ensure all sales are moving forward for senior advisor and own business, open accounts when needed for advisor.
  • Meet with clients to review portfolios, make adjustments as necessary by rebalancing or reallocating assets, introduce experts when appropriate, introduce planning software and have clients engage in technology.
  • Required to make outboard calls to clients and prospects

Keep current on industry regulations and product and service offerings.

  • Maintain all required continuing education, firm element, and internal trainings.
  • Read all monthly compliance newsletter, have good relationship with compliance and operation teams and utilize team as resource to ensure proper procedures are followed.
  • Attend all sales meetings supported by product sponsors to educate on current solution offerings.

Cultivate and maintain productive working rapport with assigned branches.

  • Provide education on business line during branch meetings.
  • Maintain availability and be subject matter expert for branch team.
  • Develop excellent relationship with senior representative to assist in personal development for continued growth in program.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or four years of directly related experience.
  • Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • Minimum two years of directly related experience with a proven sales track record in the securities industry.
  • Series 7,65, and 63 required
  • NY State Life Insurance and Accident and Health Insurance License
  • Advanced designations for planning; Certified Financial Planner (CFP), Chartered Financial Consultant (ChFC), Chartered Life Underwriter (CLU) Retirement Income Certified Planner (RICP) preferred
  • Experience in client meetings with approach through financial planning, meeting revenue goals preferred.
