Job Description
Home Lending Financial Planning & Analysis leads Home Lending Forecast Automation and Execution, this includes partnering with the Finance, Risk, and IT to analyze current processes and automate manual processes in the planning and analysis forecasting space. Routine activities include execution of annual budgets, monthly financial forecasts, quarterly earnings analysis, and ad hoc analyses or data requests, and development of new dashboard or reporting capabilities.
Job Responsibilities
- Gather business requirements through user interviews and interactions with various subject matter experts (SMEs)
- Propose process reengineering solutions to resolve current process breaks and identify areas of opportunity for improvement
- Produce forecast, analysis and supporting materials for key internal clients including senior management; participate and support ad-hoc special projects
- Develop, consolidate, and present insightful and robust qualitative and quantitative financial analysis including annual budget, quarterly/monthly forecast variances
- Coordination between business, finance, and central planning and analysis teams to meet analytical requirements and timelines
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key business stakeholders: firm-wide, Functional Finance and lines of business teams
- Be an owner of workstreams
Required Qualifications, Skills and Capabilities
- A Bachelor's degree in a quantitative discipline (Finance/Stats/Econ/Math) or equivalent work/training is required.
- 4+ years product experience highly desired; focus on service, project management, or support
- Knowledge of JIRA, Python, SAS, SQL and MS Office required
- Highly self-reliant individual with the ability to work in a dynamic, fast-paced, team-oriented, result-oriented environment
- Ability to articulate financial results to a variety of audiences (internal & external)
- Strong P&L knowledge and understanding of drivers of profitability
- Strong analytical, interpretive, and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret large amounts of data and its impact in both operational and financial areas
- Build strong partnerships with colleagues, desire to learn quickly, be flexible and think strategically
Preferred Qualification:
- Strong preference for experience with data visualization and dashboard creation (Tableau, Alteryx)
- Advanced degree preferred
Candidates must be able to physically work in our Columbus, OH office 3 days a week and remotely from home 2 days per week. The specific schedule will be determined and communicated by direct management.
