Finance Manager - Shared Services


Position Overview:

Johnsonville, LLC, a strong, high-growth company, has an excellent opportunity for an outstanding individual to join us as Manager of Shared Services. The successful candidate will play a key leadership role working closely with the Accounts Receivable, Disbursements and Payroll Shared Services team to drive operational and automation efficiencies, ensure Shared Services tax compliance, strengthen internal control policies and procedures while minimizing manual efforts, as well as drive continues improvement as it pertains to key metrics and analytical insights to the business partners.


Responsibilities:

  • Coach and develop a highly skilled Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, Travel & Expense and Payroll Team along with all associated functions such as Master Data, Credit & Collections, Broker Contracts, etc.
  • Develop and implement policies to maintain and strengthen internal controls through standard work product, while ensuring efficient and effective management of Shared Services function, including process automation
  • Assure tax compliance (payroll tax, Sales & Use tax, etc.)
  • Engage employees in continuous improvement mindset within all disciplines
  • Provide necessary staff training to complete quality work product
  • Manage, review, and consistently improve payroll, AR, and AP processes
  • Stay current and partner with IT on new technological solutions in all Shared Service functions
  • Assist with yearly audit preparation
  • Assist with cash forecasting and liquidity analysis
  • Develop appropriate Shared Services dashboarding to measure and improve performance within the Shared Services model


Education:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance required


Experience:

  • Minimum of five (5) years of related Accounting or Finance experience in roles of increasing responsibilities
  • In-depth knowledge of SAP, BPC or other planning / forecasting / reporting / consolidation systems preferred
  • Prior experience working in a shared services model highly preferred
  • Proven track record to drive automation and continues improvement
  • Prior working experience with tax matters relevant to Shared Service function highly preferred (not as a tax expert, but as it pertains to Shared Service functions; must be able to navigate through concepts and able to research matters as needed to drive to the answer)


Skills:

  • Demonstrated ability to coach members in a Shared Services environment
  • Strong computer skills required (SAP S4 Hana, Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
  • Demonstrated strong analytical skills
  • Effective problem-solving and decision-making skills, with a focus on continuous improvement
  • Demonstrated ability to lead major projects and change management efforts
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • The ability to instill trust and confidence with business partners and other finance team members through strong presentations and written communications
  • The ability to take complex data / information and drive it to simple, meaningful insights especially when working with incomplete or disparate data and information
  • Highly motivated / self-directed individual proactively driving improvements
  • Demonstrated, consistent professional growth and high learning agility

(Our office is about an hour north of Milwaukee)


Travel: Minimal (<10% of time)


Coach: Corporate Controller
