Sales Finance Analyst

The Role:

The Sales Financial Analyst is an important role in the success of the business. This role will partner with business leaders in Sales Operations, Business Operations, and Global Operations to provide financial support (Revenue, Forecast, and Ad-hoc analysis) to influence decisions that enable the business to efficiently plan and deliver results.

We are looking for a teammate that will take ownership of the role, drive improvements in execution, and implement standardized work. Key responsibilities:

• Works with assigned business partners across geographies to manage and understand Revenue within corporate calendar deadlines.
• Help prepare and track against the annual financial plan, as well as periodic financial forecasting activities for each as defined by the corporate calendar.
• Report out to Current Sales / Business leaders on current Revenue position against Forecast along with key drivers and explanation of variances.
• Provide Financial reconciliation daily, posting adjustments to our Revenue systems and explaining ad hoc large fluctuations.
• Understand and identify risks and potential problem areas and propose potential solutions and operational improvements to issues or problems.
• Provide month-end accounting and financial support as vital including recording of Sales Incentive journal entries and monthly plan & forecast to actual analysis & reporting and develop schedules to help explain variances.
• Utilize corporate systems and reports to manage financial data (Tableau, Discoverer, etc).
• Apply strong excel spreadsheet skills to drive efficiencies, improve reporting and automate tasks by applying sophisticated formulas and functions.

Preferred Experience:

• Excellent communication skills, both orally and written, especially communication of financial results and information.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel with strong financial modeling skills is required. Proficiency in Microsoft PowerPoint / Think Cell is preferred.
• Ability to analyze and translate outcomes of financial models and data into insights to drive the business
• Attention to detail and organization skills
• Excellent understanding of/or skills with financial planning & reporting systems.
• Oracle and SAP ERP experience preferable. Data mining and database skills are also useful.

Academic credentials:

• Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, or equivalent
