Job description

Job Summary: Works directly with the Quality Manager and is responsible for the release of finished product by validating parts meet all dimensional, quality, and customer requirements while adhering to all Align Precision internal Quality System procedures.

Essential functions

  • Reviewing all applied drawings and finishing specifications to identify requirements
  • C.M.M. and manual gauging inspections
  • Review job history
  • Assist in Quality Control activities as directed
  • Maintain all proper documentation
  • Generate work instructions for individual part number processing
  • Perform in-process inspection of product
  • Gather and maintain statistical data for the monitoring, identifying improvements needed for processing stability and efficiencies
  • Report product or processing non-conformances, internal/external audit results and any identified necessary or potential improvement opportunities to the Quality Manager
  • Basic blueprint reading and mil spec knowledge
  • Complete all required training
  • Other duties as assigned

  • Minimum of 20/25 Vision corrected or uncorrected in one eye using Jaeger type 1 test or equivalent

Preferred Education and Experience

High School Diploma or GED equivalent

  • Min. 1 yrs. experience in a machine shop inspection function
  • Geometric Dimension and Tolerancing (GD&T)
  • Experience operating Coordinate Measuring Machine (PC-DMIS Favorable)
