Desert iNet is looking for Wireless Internet Field Technicians/Installers. You will be responsible for installing and troubleshooting wireless internet connection. Job Description

Field Technician/Installer responsibilities:

• In support of Wi-Fi installation and trouble calls, determines appropriate placement of devices and design of Wi-Fi network
• Working with the customer, selects location and installs equipment, including inside wiring
• Assist customer with initial setup of inside routing device
• Educate customer in the features and functionality of the services
• Demonstrates, sells and bills appropriate items of internet service on each contact with customers
• Verifies all services are working properly
• Use simple meters to perform Go, No-Go type testing
• Install antennas on roof tops
• Cleaning up after customer installation – removing boxes, pieces of cable, and sheetrock dust
• Completing detailed activity log, and other reports/documentation
• Determining which tools are needed for scheduled installations; organizing and loading equipment into vehicle
• Climbing ladders; safely working in an elevated position
• Perform work in buildings, roofs, attics, basements and crawl spaces that could involve bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, crawling, etc.
• Ensuring proper site operation; inspecting cable and electrical equipment
• Uses and/or wears appropriate safety equipment and follows establishes safety practices and procedures
• Use company PC to retrieve and complete orders
• Works independently with little supervision
• Drives a company vehicle
• Positions Desert iNET as the premier provider of choice

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for customer-oriented Internet Field Technicians with a passion for high customer satisfaction and achieving operational excellence. To succeed in this role, you must have excellent communication skills with the ability to interact with all levels of staff, including senior management and internal and external customers.

Field Technician/Installer requirements:

• Must be 18 years or older and have a valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record and be able to drive within the Company’s geographical footprint on a regular basis (using company vehicle)
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and comply with Company and OSHA established safety policies and requirements
• Must be able to distinguish colors in accordance with specific job requirements
• To meet manufacturers safety requirements on equipment used, candidate's body weight, plus tools and materials, must not exceed 250 pounds for assignments involving ladder climbing and tile roofs
• Ability to lift up to 80 pounds and work with a 28ft extension ladder
• This position spends the majority of the time outdoors
• Background and drug test required (marijuana not included)
