Job description
Field technicians needed one to work in Auburndale and and the other in Arcadia Florida.
Pay: $23 - $24 per hour plus daily OT (hourly rate negotiable for highly experienced applicants)
For this opening the technicians will be working for a Lakeland based food equipment manufacturing company, This position requires working off-site at customer plants located in Arcadia or Auburndale and will have primary responsibility for all vendor specified equipment at that location, including industrial citrus extractors and automation systems.

A Typical Day for Field Service Technicians:
Mechanical Service Management
- Under direction of service management, manages and trains all processing service personnel assigned to customer site.
- Responsible for all performance and calibration of company machinery.
- Responsible for maintenance and calibration of company's automation systems.
- Manages equipment overhaul so that performance will be to company and customer standards and completed within a timely schedule.
- Assist in field testing of new designs or equipment.
- Responsible for maintaining, ordering and expediting all parts and maintaining adequate inventory for company’s machinery.
- Responsible for maintaining, ordering and expediting all parts, tools and inventory at locations for service contracts for customer equipment.
Customer Satisfaction and Relations
- Works closely with all company departments to assure that we maintain good communication from the customer site to company.
- Have knowledge of customer’s machinery that is used in fruit processing included in a major service agreement; washers, graders, surge bins, sizers, belt and screw conveyors, finishers and cyclones.
- Attend customer meeting regarding operation of juice room and related equipment.
- Report all sales opportunities to FL Regional Sales Service Manager.
Planning and Administration
- Responsible for proper and timely submission of required reports to company and customer representatives for machinery and service contracts.
- Checks and monitors all time and expense reports weekly.
- Manages parts through a management system including collecting, storing and sending data to the processing service department in Lakeland.
- Meets the preventative maintenance target.
Safety
- Meet all monthly safety requirements as established by the HSE Department
- Attend all required site Safety Training sessions or complete and submit make-up materials to the Safety Department.
- Comply with all company safety policies and guidelines.

- Proven ability to lead people
- Basic computer knowledge
- Works well with all departments at company
- Has good customer skills
- Become part of customer's team
- Must be able to work 40-48 hours per week during plant “season”
Even Better If You Have:
- Training in mechanical, electrical, computer and computer programming
- Experience with company equipment and customer machinery
- Ability to conduct training seminars for new personnel
- Has general knowledge of all types of instrumentation and how to calibrate
