Mayekawa U.S.A., Inc, is an international industrial refrigeration, chemical processing gas compression and food automation manufacturing company designing and manufacturing large compressor units and food processing equipment for those industries.
Job Description: This individual will be responsible for pre-commissioning, commissioning, startup, operation, and service of chemical and refrigeration compression equipment including associated refrigeration equipment (example: Reciprocating Compressors, Screw Compressors, Heat Exchangers, Evaporator, pumps, etc.)
Responsibilities/Job Duties:
  • Perform pre-commissioning, commissioning, operation, and maintenance activities.
  • Lead the pre-commissioning, commissioning, and troubleshooting, repair and maintenance of gas processing equipment and gas compressors.
  • Manage start up and commissioning of refrigeration and gas processing facilities.
  • Fault finding and root cause analysis of gas compression related equipment & control systems.
  • Assist customers with identifying maintenance and repair solutions and provide options to maintain or upgrade their equipment.
  • Create, update, track, and complete commissioning reports.
  • Write detailed work order reports.
  • Focus on proper documentation, organization, and communication to support different facets of the company.
  • Promote company services and offerings to customers and generate return service opportunities.
  • Maintain cleanliness and ensure proper housekeeping of customer and company equipment while on location.
  • Comply with all Mayekawa company policies, procedures, processes, work instructions and guidelines.
  • Perform all other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
  • Knowledge of ammonia refrigeration and Freon Systems
  • Can read and understand wiring diagrams and understand mechanical drawings such as pipe PID).
  • Basic computer skills (electronic documentation)
  • Working knowledge of screw compressors, electrical troubleshooting of common types of industrial refrigeration systems and control systems.
  • Demonstrate understanding and adherence to work safety practice and procedures
  • Ability to work unsupervised or with limited instruction.
  • Must be highly motivated and willing to travel to the jobsite often.
  • Maintain positive relationships with customers, contractors, suppliers, and other employees.
  • Maintain an organized jobsite and company vehicle and equipment.
  • Must be proficient using Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel).
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Must be able to work in a team environment and follow deadlines
  • Displays good leadership skills, results, success-oriented individual, proactive, positive, professional, team-minded, and self-motivating
Education and Experience:
  • Have minimum of 5 years in Industrial Refrigeration with a service background
  • Trade school or Refrigeration Training Graduate
  • Minimum CARO RETA Certification or capable of obtaining within the first year
