FIELD SERVICE TECHNICIAN
Summary/Objective
Service Department is currently seeking a hands-on Field Service Technician to support customers with installation, repair, and maintenance of equipment. This service technician is an integral member of the service team and requires
mechanical/electrical
aptitude and strong communication and troubleshooting skills.
Essential Duties
- Performs onsite field start-up and service, including prover calibration (water draw)
- Provides phone, e-mail, and video technical support
- Assists sales department in resolving customer related issues
- Capable of completing production/manufacturing functions when required and understands processes and procedures
- Aids customers in support and service of competitor's products and parts.
- Accurately documents and reports all services performed in a timely manner
- Travel onshore, limited offshore and globally to repair, replace, or install customer’s product on, at, or adjacent to the water
Qualifications
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Strong computer skills: experience in MS Excel, MS Word
- Prove-it, OMNICOM, and PCS a plus (flow computer knowledge)
- Experience working with:
- Small Volume Prover
- Mechanical workings
- Fluid dynamics effects
- Electrical discrete inputs/outputs
- Electrical AC/DC power
- Ability to work efficiently and with minimal supervision
- Ability to travel on short notice
- Able to pass a federal background check
- Has or can obtain a US passport for international travel
- Has or can obtain a Commercial Driver’s License
