Primary Purpose Summary

Perform trials and problem-solving activities related to the application of company products in the Food & Beverage business. Document and communicate technical expectations, results, and proposed solutions to address processing and quality concerns within Company and Customer facilities.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities

Coordinate, manage, and deliver Food & Beverage field services at customers’ filling lines and within the Company Quality and Engineering processes:

· Provide customers with onsite, hands-on technical support during installation and ability to deliver technical solutions to customers with a high degree of professionalism

· Provide solutions to issues influenced by Company closure design, closure quality, customer equipment design, setup, and/or condition

· Develop customer relations and maintain key contacts at customer filling locations

· Develop and execute product application tests

· Coordinate technical visits at customer´s site within a reasonable time response

· Provide support to our field sales staff, giving pre-sale and post-sale technical guidance

· Establish criteria of acceptance based on agreements with customer´s quality assurance entities and individuals

Develop and maintain knowledge of Company Food and Beverage product portfolio including:

· Product designs and applications

· Closure application techniques

· Customer manufacturing and filling processes

· Thorough knowledge of Company manufacturing processes

· Equipment types, styles, and makes

· Quality requirements to meet performance goals on customer lines

Compile and report essential information used to guide and educate product development, sales, marketing, customer service, quality, and manufacturing teams.

· Performance: Company products interactions with the customer’s equipment. (OEE, stoppage types, defect types, reject types, etc.)

· Equipment: Cappers, feeders, conveying, induction welders, sterilization systems, inspection systems, etc.

· Setup: Speeds, forces, positions, set points, etc.

· Customer feedback: Future opportunities, complexities, challenges, likes, dislikes, goals, products, and capabilities

Actively participate and collaborate with product development, sales, and marketing teams:

· Identify how new product developments will influence customer manufacturing processes

· Share knowledge of lines, equipment, and processes

· Design reviews, FMEAs, brainstorming events (product development, marketing, sales, and customer)

Write, review, and follow work instructions, product performance metrics, specifications, line trial protocols.

Required Qualifications

o Two-year engineering associates degree, or equivalent considered with a minimum of 10 years’ automation/manufacturing experience

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $90,000.00 - $100,000.00 per year
