WSRP Field Organizer Job Description

Location: TBD
Term: May 2022 – November 2022
Pay: $2,000 - $3,000/month
Reports to: WSRP Field Director and WSRP State Director

Position Summary

The Washington State Republican Party is seeking to hire Field Organizer’s to execute the WSRPs field strategy in the 2022 campaign cycle. Field staff play an important role in our strategic plan to elect Republicans at the state and federal levels in Washington State. Field staff are integral to the success of our grassroots teams.

The Field Organizer will be a staff member of the Washington State Republican Party whose focus will be on hitting key voter contact metrics through the WSRP’s door-knocking and phone banking programs. Field Organizers will also help engage with grassroots activists in their area.

They will help manage volunteer teams, help execute the WSRP voter outreach plan for 2022, and serve as a contact between WSRP and Republican campaigns. The Field Organizer will receive training from the WSRP staff on how to effectively make voter contacts, use important voter data, engage neighborhood volunteer teams, and execute a Get Out the Vote

(GOTV) program to maximize Republican turnout.

Responsibilities include:

- Identify and engage directly with voters in targeted districts

- Ensure responsible and proper handling of voter data

- Recruiting and engaging activists/volunteers/paid canvassers in your region.

- Foster continuing growth and activity in local grassroots teams and with local activists

- Build relationships with stakeholders, volunteers, county party members, and campaigns

- Track activity of grassroots volunteers teams

- Help organize Super Saturdays (canvassing events), phone banks, various campaign events, and other activist events

- Provide regular reports to the Field Director

- Meet goals and complete tasks in a timely and accurate manner

- Explore opportunities for engagement and cooperation with issue specific, ethnic, and religious coalition groups

- Additional duties as requested by WSRP Field Director

- Able to work flexible hours, evenings and/or weekends

- Measuring progression of tasks, designated goals

- Strong social skills, positive attitude, and dedication to conservative causes

- Ability to speak with groups and host meetings

- Ability to build and foster relationships with volunteers, county party members, and campaign staff

- Creative problem solving

- Proficiency in Word, Excel, and other basic computer skills

- Ability to effectively communicate with paid canvassers and unpaid staff

Preferred Qualifications:

- 3+ months working on campaigns or political organizing
